“The soul doesn’t evolve or grow, it cycles and twists,
repeats and surprises, echoing ancient themes common to all human beings.
It is always circling home.”

BIRTH STORY LABYRINTH PROCESS
for Individuals or Small Group
I am often asked by students of the birth story and birth professionals, “How to Do Birth Story Work in Small Groups.” Too often, the potential for positive camaraderie in birth story groups is unmet. In the absence of leadership and a ritual, most people find leading and sharing birth stories in groups stressful, overwhelming, and often reinforcing or even increasing a sense of failure, hopelessness, and trauma. Years ago, when I observed this phenomenon in my own groups, I set out to study and solve it. Through experimentation, I discovered how to use the “Laborinth” for individuals and small groups with consistent uplifting results.
Ideally, I would have preferred to demonstrate it, and allow you to experience it in Retreats this year, but due to Covid-19, it is uncertain when gatherings will be possible. And what better time to offer a webinar on Small Birth Story Group work online than now, during Covid-related-birth trauma. I’ve decided to make this my birthday present to you.
The Birth Story Labyrinth Process is a guided ritual of return process designed to move storyteller’s forward and out of a “stuck” perspective, feeling, or belief, and toward integration and completion of the heroic journey.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- Five foundations of change work
- Principles of group dynamics
- How to form cohesive-safe groups
- Experience and embody the Process, step-by-step
- How to share learning and insights with others
- Closing the ritual
Upon Registration, you will receive a Zoom Invite and List of Supplies.
This Birth Story School Webinar is ideal for students enrolled in the School, but is open to everyone. If you are not familiar with the philosophy of The Birth Story School, just follow along (but know, we won’t have time to explore alternative ways of leading groups in this two-hour webinar).
