CONVERSING with ARCHETYPES

OCTOBER 11, 17, and 24, 2025
10 am to 12 pm PST

PAM ENGLAND, Facilitator
Each of us is made up of various identities and experiences that shape how we perceive and share our experiences. Within every storyteller, several voices narrate an experience. Each voice reflects a unique perspective, motivation, and purpose for telling the story.
As a result, our stories are not linear; they are layered, often contradictory, and deeply nuanced.
When we recognize these different aspects as archetypes — such as the Innocent, Victim, Rule Keeper, Mother, Patient, Huntress, and others —we can focus less on the content of the story and more on who is telling it. This level of awareness enhances our sensitivity and empathy, allowing us to engage more meaningfully with our storytellers.
When you connect the storyteller's active archetype, you can speak in the language and directly to the needs of that part which builds rapport and accelerates change work. In the same way, learning to recognize your own archetypal inner voices allows you to consciously shift into one less hooked and more resourceful
In this three-session, you'll meet the archetypes that often show up in birth story sessions and through various exercises, learn how to recognize them and converse with them to accelerate insights and transformation in your sessions.
Welcome! If you are not a BSM member or student in the Birth Story School, register here.
